What is E.T.M Unlimited?

E.T.M. Unlimited is a California company dedicated to the use of music for the purpose of enriching the lives of children and adults.  This is accomplished through a solid base of research and supported in five interrelated subdivisions of our company:  music products, workshops, music programs, songwriting services and live children’s educational entertainment.

One of the most important sources of enrichment today is through the use of music. This medium has the potential to entertain as well as educate effectively.  In addition, music is the perfect means to communicate important values and character building skills, through songs that use positive and compelling messages. Music provides the opportunity to develop creative and imaginative skills, rather than to passively engage in manufactured TV and video images that are often negative and inappropriate for various ages and stages.  Music and song are unparalleled as a medium for enrichment with proven benefits in the following areas: 

Why is E.T.M. important?

High Tech - High Touch

A term, far more apt today then when it was originally discussed by author John Naisbitt in his book Megatrends 2000, is the concept of “high tech—high touch”. This idea warns us that as technology increases (high tech) there must also be an increase in emotional, creative, nurturing, and caregiving dimensions of society (high touch) to balance the power of the escalating technological forces.

If we fail to do this, we will find ourselves in a “high tech—low touch” society, devoid of many of the core elements necessary to support and nurture the full potential and development of our youth. At this point in time, if we’re not careful, the critical balance between high tech and high touch can be tipped toward a high tech, and the low touch family will find itself suffering from disequilibrium, emotional distancing and breakdowns in communication, without ever even recognizing the hidden causes.

E.T.M. is devoted to maintaining this “high tech—high touch” balance by providing products, programs, consulting, and educational services that combine critical educational skills for our youth with “high touch” strategies for learning and enrichment through the medium of music.  

The Multiple Intelligence Perspective

 ETM specialists develop age-appropriate lyrics that are both imaginative, informative, and that provide ample opportunity for developing, encouraging and integrating the Multiple Intelligences through movement, dramatic play, crafts, visual aids and discussion. 

The unique ETM learning experience allows the child to individualize the learning experience, by using their personal mulitple intelligent learning style.  Through the ETM approach, the child is given the opportunity to understand the information in many different ways.  In addition, they are being encouraged and inspired to explore the subject through their own forms of creative play.
